How it is paid for

The utility licenses the program. Installers filing into it pay nothing. Everyone else pays one price.

Interconnection review is the utility’s process, the utility’s queue, and the utility’s hours, so GridProjeX is licensed by the utility the way an interconnection platform normally is. Every installer filing into a participating program uses it free for those projects, because charging a contractor to submit properly is the fastest way to get fewer proper submissions. Installers whose utilities have not joined pay one flat price with a per project rate that falls as volume rises. Planned pricing for general availability. Nothing is sold during the beta.
