You quote a job, design it, file it, and six weeks later the utility says the feeder is full or the battery pushed you over a threshold. The sale dies after you paid for the design. This tells you what is knowable up front: which tier the system falls in, which screens decide it, and the exact questions to put to the utility before you sign the customer.

Because a bad application costs the utility more than it costs you.

Every application that arrives wrong burns a reviewer’s afternoon and a correction cycle, and it is sitting in the queue ahead of somebody else’s good one. An installer who checks first files fewer of them. So this stays free to every installer in every territory, whether or not anyone buys anything, and the utilities we work with get a cleaner queue out of it. How that works for a utility.

What it cannot, and says soAnything that depends on the loading of your specific feeder or service transformer. That data is held by the utility and is not public. We mark those unknown and give you the question to ask rather than guessing, because a confident wrong answer is worse to you than no answer.
Where the rules come fromPublished sources only, each one read and recorded by a person, shown with the result. We ship no invented utility criteria. If we have nothing verified for your utility, it says that plainly instead of dressing up a generic rule as their program.
